(12) THE RIVER/LAKE LEVEL MONITORING
- The objective of river/lake monitoring is to get the river water level or lake level in the remote side. The level sensor will work to measure the water level and sent it to the base side controller.
- The local site remote controller will log the data periodically and store into 2GB data storage. The user is able to copy the historical data regarding to the river level, lake lavel or other measurement you need.
- The level alarm can also be enabled to sent the notification to the main central control to warn that the river water level is in danger condition.
- Some of the users will use this feature to initiates the public warning system to avoid the flood.
- The central control room is able to monitor the data histories from the remote river side. Making some action to control the river level to gate the water flowing normaly.
- Usually this feature is used by hydro power generation dam to keep close control and monitoring river level to secure the operation of hydro generation
(13) MOTION CONTROL
MOTION CONTROLLER LOOP
Motion control is a sub-field of automation, encompassing the systems or sub-systems involved in moving parts of machines in a controlled manner. The main components involved typically include a motion controller, an energy amplifier, and one or more prime movers or actuators. Motion control may be open loop or closed loop. In open loop systems, the controller sends a command through the amplifier to the prime mover or actuator, and does not know if the desired motion was actually achieved. Typical systems include stepper motor or fan control. For tighter control with more precision, a measuring device may be added to the system (usually near the end motion). When the measurement is converted to a signal that is sent back to the controller, and the controller compensates for any error, it becomes a Closed loop System.
